My love of chandeliers continues from the interior to the outdoors... As I begin to draw upon ideas for my next project I came across a picture of a glittering patio scene complete with a crystal chandelier. I swooned; not only are these enchanting spaces, they become an extension of your home. Many of us put our efforts into outfitting the inside of our house while the backyards are put on the back burner. I'm inspired by these pictures to create a dreamy outdoor oasis that fits my style. The best part is that these chandeliers aren't hard to make! I came across many DIY style ones that are pretty and practical. The blue mason jars turned candle holder chandelier is awesome; I also really like the beaded empire chandelier. Which one is your favorite style? xoxo - jennifer bianca

What's the first thing that comes to mind when looking at these photos? For me, it's casual warmth.. I love, love, love slip covered furniture because it gives a room an approachable, laid back and comfortable atmosphere. I also really like that depending on the details, slipcovers can be whimsical with a sweet skirt or pleat or clean, crisp, and modern for a more transitional style room. Another great thing about slipcovers is that they are easy to clean and switch out when your design mood changes..  xoxo - jennifer bianca

add some glamour with zebra print

You've gotta respect a classic... to me, a zebra rug is one of those timeless "go-to" decor items that can bump up the design wow factor of a room. When done tastefully in a minimalist fashion, zebra print gives off an immediate air of chic glamour to a space that always looks smart. The best part is that zebra print transcends through styles from hollywood regency, to retro, eclectic, and beyond. xoxo- jennifer bianca

I've only just finished my bedroom and I'm already considering new bedding.. terrible, I know, but when someone is in love with decor it's sometimes hard to keep your heart set on one style. On a recent trip to abc home & carpet I spied a beautifully ethereal bedding collection and thought it looked like a grown up version of a fairytale dream. Something about the layers of gauzy linens in creamy tones of beige, white, and gray looked like fluffy clouds beckoning me to take a nap in them. The style is simple, clean, comfortable, and casual.. yet subtly chic. Bella Notte Linens and Pine Cone Hill have a great assortment of eco friendly linen bedding collections for you to create a dreamy oasis! happy decorating- xo -jennifer bianca

A new addition...

australian vogue living

I came across this picture back in March and immediately fell in love. We were in the process of buying our new home and I dreamed of having an antique mantel filled with firewood just like this in our new place. I'd even envisioned it's spot in the living room. Needless to say, antique mantels are hard to come by in South Florida, let alone finding one with the aesthetic I was after.. I put the mantel in the back on my mind and continued working on other projects around the house for the last few months....

I have mentioned before and I'll say it again, I've got an amazing husband.. He knows me so well..sometimes even better than I know myself.  When he surprised me this weekend with my birthday present I was overcome with happiness and joy.. however, not surprised.. because really, he always knows exactly what I want..
my "new" reclaimed antique mantel

i love all the wood work details

I've played around with things to put on the mantel and I'm sure I'll change them a dozen times in the next month.. however, this is what she looks like for now. After I post this blog I'll go sit in my living room while I stare at my new mantel over a cup of tea.. ahhh.. I'm in love! cheers to my wonderful hubby!  xoxo - jennifer bianca
